At TASS, we offer architectural services right across Sydney, from the Eastern Suburbs to the Sutherland Shire and everywhere in between, so most Inner West suburbs sit comfortably within our reach. As a firm of registered architects located in Sydney, New South Wales, we take on only a select number of residential projects at a time, which lets us give each home our full focus. Do you design Federation and period homes?
Yes, and the Inner West is full of them. We work closely with the character of Federation homes and other period properties, protecting what makes them special while reworking how they suit everyday living. Good architecture here is about respecting the built environment of the street, so old and new sit together naturally rather than clashing. It’s some of the most rewarding work we undertake.
Will I need council approval, and do you handle it?
Most projects do need approval, and we manage that process so it never falls on you. For homes in the local government area, we prepare and lodge the documentation for Inner West Council approval, and we keep up with each council requirement from the design stage onward. From the first drawings to the point you’re ready to sign off and build, we handle the paperwork and the back and forth with the council.
What does your interior design service involve?
Our in-house architect and interior designer work as one, so the inside and outside of your home are considered together from the design stage. Our interior design services shape everything from proportion and flow to the finishes you touch every day, giving you a home that feels cohesive throughout. Already have your own designer? We’re happy to collaborate with them, bringing our interior design experience to the table so nothing is lost between the two.
